It’s Female Football Week 2026 and today we want to celebrate the people on the training field and sidelines who make it all happen — our coaches!

At Alstonville FC we are lucky to have coaches who give their time to mentoring and coaching our female players for all kinds of reasons.

Some are coaching a daughter, partner or wife’s team. Others simply turn up for the pure love of the game and the belief that women and girls deserve every opportunity to grow in this sport.

What makes our coaching group so special is the wealth of experience they bring. Some of our coaches have played the sport themselves — men and women alike — some even at premier league level, passing on skills, encouragement and knowledge that money can’t buy.

While Female Football Week is absolutely a celebration of our incredible women and girls, it’s also a moment to recognise every person helping push female football forward at Alstonville FC. Our coaches are a huge part of that story, and some have been quietly building it here for a number of years now.

To every coach across every age group — we see you, we appreciate you, and female football in our community is better because of you.
