When does registration open?

1st February 2026. Registrations have now closed. Check back in January 2027 for next year’s season.

Where do I register?

Registrations must be completed online through the www.playfootball.com.au website. If you have any problems using the online system, contact the PlayFootball helpline on: 02 8880 7983.

It is important that you register and pay online so that we know how many players we have and we can start allocating players to teams. Unless a player is registered and fees are paid, they cannot be placed in a team. No places will be kept open for unregistered players. To avoid disappointment please register early. Instructions for how to register online can be found below. Please note NO player can play until registration is completed.

What is the cost?

The 2026 fees are as follows:

  • 5 – 7 years old – $150
  • 8 – 9 years old – $160
  • 10 – 11 years old – $180
  • 12 – 16 years old – $220
  • 17 – 18 years old – $300
  • 19+ years (Senior Amateur) – $380
  • 19+ years (Prem Women) – $390
  • 19+ years (Prem Men & Champs) – $390

Create a Play Football Account

If you haven’t already got a Play Football account you will need to create one. To register for a new PlayFootball account.

Go to PlayFootball

  • Click on “My account” in the top right hand corner
  • Fill out the relevant details, create your password and go through the verification process

​Register a Player, Coach, Manager or Volunteer

Important note: You need your active kids voucher (if eligible) before you start this process. You cannot add the voucher after you have registered.

  • Click on “Register Now”
  • Click on the relevant age group you want to register for
  • Type ‘Alstonville’ in the search box
  • Select “Alstonville and District Football Club” from the drop down box
  • Click “START MY REGISTRATION”
  • Click “Get started”
  • You should see a list of names linked to your email address.
  • Click on the player you would like to register or if you are registering a new player, check the ‘I am registering a new person’
  • Fill out the relevant boxes on the form (Role, Football Type = Club Football, Playing Level = Community)
  • Click on “Select” for the relevant player age group
  • Check the product details and click “Continue”
  • Check and update as required Participant Details. Click “Continue”.
  • You will need to upload a passport style photo. Click “Continue”
  • Review the order details. Tick or untick the relevant marketing communications boxes. Please leave the Alstonville & District Football Club Box ticked so we can email you, we do not send out marketing material.
  • Tick the I have read the T&C’s box, a pop up window appears, read the T&C’s, scroll to the bottom and click “Accept All T&C’s displayed”.
  • Click “Continue”
  • Enter your Credit Card details and then click “Pay Now”.
  • Your registration is complete; you can click “Finished Registration” or if you want to register another player click “Perform another registration”.
What age can my child start to play football?

A child must be turning 5 years old during their first year.

Can I use an Active Kids voucher?

If you are eligible, add the voucher details in your registration.

What uniform items do I need to purchase?

Every player needs shin guards (mandatory), black shorts, RED Villa socks for 5 – 16 years old, BLACK Villa socks 17 – senior and football boots (no metal studs). Socks and shorts are available at our online shop.

The club will supply each team with a set of playing strip shirts for use at games. They are kept as a set and not distributed to individual team members.

Does the club have other Villa merchandise?

Yes, please visit our online shop. Some limited items are available at Geoff Watt Clubhouse canteen and Crawford Park clubhouse canteen on match days.

When do teams train?

Any week day at various times depending on coach availability and ground availability. Please visit our player information page for who to contact about teams.

What day/s are games played?
  • MiniRoos (5-11) play on Saturday mornings at varying times between about 9am and 12pm.
  • Junior Competitive Mixed (12-16) generally Saturday mornings or perhaps Friday night.
  • Junior Competitive Girls (12-16) Sunday mornings or Friday night
  • Senior Men 17+ Saturday afternoon or Friday night, occasionally Sunday
  • Senior Women 17+ Sunday afternoon or Friday night

These days can vary slightly depending on the FFNC draw or wet weather causing postponements.

What travel is involved for MiniRoos?

Many games will be at home at Geoff Watt Oval others will require travel to local areas such as Ballina, Tintenbar, Lennox and Goonellabah. This varies with each age group.

Can my daughter play girls only football?

Yes, from MiniRoos to seniors. Girls also have the option to play mixed football from 5 – 16 years old if they would prefer.

What team will my child be in?

Teams are generally age based. MiniRoos have many teams in each age and team placement will be made by the MiniRoos Subcommittee. Junior Competitive and Senior teams are generally graded and nominated to the FFNC graded competition for approval.
